Meet the Staff

Pubali Campbell

PUBALI C. CAMPBELL, DIRECTOR - It is my greatest pleasure to offer Manchester, New Hampshire the simple message of Bikram yoga: regardless of age, gender, fitness level, or health situation, any person can walk into a Bikram class and, at their own pace, find physical and mental strength that can be used for infinite purposes.

My introduction to Bikram yoga came when I was very young because Bikram is my uncle (on my father's side). Even though it would be years before I joined his large community of practitioners and teachers, I was always familiar with how his yoga classes impacted the lives of so many people. So, one can imagine how honored I am to be a member of my uncle's other family. The only thing more exciting is bringing it to all of you here in Manchester. I will look forward to seeing you in class!

BETH ALLARD, LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST -  Beth is the in house massage therapist for  Bikram Yoga Manchester.  She has been a member of the American Massage Therapy Association for six years.  After working in NY for the past five and a half years, including in two of Manhattan's Top 20 spas,  she moved to NH in July 2005.  Beth received her NH license in October and teamed up with Bikram Yoga Manchester to start "A Touch Of Heaven Massage Therapy".  The massage room is located in a very private, peaceful, and calming setting in the back of the studio.

LAURA RICHARDSON, STAFF INSTRUCTOR - In the summer of 2001, Laura was reading VT's Burlington Free Press one Sunday with an extra large cup of Joe when she saw a human pretzel looking back at her.  She read the article about Bikram yoga and joined the 4:30 class that day.  She loved it and was hooked from day one.

She hasn't been able to tear herself away since.  She embraced the teachers, the hot, intense workout and the post-yoga high.  It was the first time she realized her calves could sweat.  After finishing college in 2003, Laura headed to L.A. to achieve certification as a Bikram instructor.  She has been teaching in Portsmouth ever since.  Laura knows Bikram will be a part of her life for years to come and welcomes others ready to take the challenge.

MAEGHAN FINNIGAN, STAFF INSTRUCTOR - Maeghan is a Manchester native and began her practice at the request of her mother, Beth, whose long time shoulder injury healed shortly after starting Bikram yoga. Maeghan and her mother would travel regularly to the Portsmouth studio for their practice. After Manchester opened in January of 2005, Maeghan initiated a daily practice with such an abundance of enthusiasm that the owner suggested the teacher's training so she could take her practice to another level while sharing her joy for the yoga with other people.  Maeghan returned from teacher's training in the fall of 2005 and has been teaching for Bikram Yoga Manchester full time.

JANET ALLEN, STAFF INSTRUCTOR - A runner since high school, Jan started running marathons in 1995, qualifying for Boston six times and taking home six medals- one for each of her children.  But in 2003, after completing her fastest time ever, she was faced with the prognosis of surgery for her ailing back and hip.  Jan hung up her running shoes, and on the advice of a good friend, she tried the Bikram Yoga series.   By the end of her first class, Jan had decided what she wanted to do with the rest of her life- teach Bikram yoga.  The workout, the sweating, the energy it gave her, and the amazing sense of well-being that came with it was just what she needed in her life, and she graduated from teacher training in November 2006.  Bikram Yoga helped Jan get through the most challenging time of her life and be the best Mom she could be, and now she loves sharing her passion with others, especially those who struggle to maintain clarity in their own lives.

RICH RAY, STAFF INSTRUCTOR - I took my first Bikram class in 2002 after 7 years of other types of yoga. I swore I would never go back: the heat, the sweat, the heat, the stretching, the heat. 3 years later on vacation a friend reluctantly dragged me to a class. I LOVED it: the heat, the sweat, the heat, the stretching, the heat – my body felt renewed and changed from the inside out. You couldn’t keep me out of the hot room. I knew that day I would attend Bikram’s teacher training. Bikram yoga is now an integral part of my life, helping me to find health, peace and vitality. I’m deeply grateful for Bikram and all he has done to spread this yoga far and wide. I feel blessed to be a teacher of this powerful hatha yoga system and look forward to sharing it with you in class.
